At some point or another, everyone has to get rid of a mattress. Maybe you’re moving and can’t take it with you. Maybe it’s old and lumpy and you just want something new. - Sell it: There are plenty of people out there who are looking for a good deal on a used mattress. Try posting it on Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace. Just make sure to take some good pictures and write an honest description.
- Donate it: If your mattress is in decent condition, you could try donating it to a local goodwill store or try an organisation like Bedcollect. Call ahead to see if they accept mattresses and what their requirements are.
- Recycle it: Some organisations like Soft Landing will accept mattresses (usually for a fee). This is a good option if you want to get rid of your mattress but don’t want it ending up in a landfill.
