Don’t you just love the smell of freshly turned soil? And you’ve finally finished that gardening project you’ve been planning for years. How great does that feel? Well, all except for that big pile of dirt that’s sitting off to the side. How are you going to get rid of that?

Do we take dirt?

I’ll let you in on our dirty little secret – yes, we do! However, there are a few things that you need to be aware of:

• Dirt is heavy, so we can’t take too much.
  • Our 4m³ bin comes with a 600kg weight allowance. This is about 2 wheelbarrows worth.
  • You can upgrade the weight limit to 1 tonne. This gives you about 5 wheelbarrows to play with.
• You can’t use the 6m³ bin for dirt. This is because it’s a bigger bin, but it can only take 900kg. It’s a case of bigger not being better.
• Green waste is generally pretty light, so you can usually top up the bin with those cuttings that you also want to get rid of.
